Dr. Brett Axelrod

Dr. Brett Axelrod is the founder and director of Elmsford Chiropractic Health & Wellness Center, a family practice in Elmsford, New York. He graduated from the State University at Albany with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry. He continued his studies and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College.

A lifelong athlete, Dr. Axelrod was introduced to chiropractic during his college basketball career. After seeing the dramatic improvement it made in his athletic performance, his health and his life

in general, he was determined to become a chiropractor and help others realize what chiropractic could do for them. Married and the father of two young daughters, Dr. Axelrod has seen firsthand the advantages of the chiropractic lifestyle for his own family.

Since 1993, Dr. Axelrod has remained active in the community. He is the past president of the Elmsford Rotary Club, and has lectured extensively to companies such as Texaco, Hitachi, Avon, Ciba Chemical, Crowne Plaza Management, Akzo Chemical, and many others.

He has lectured on topics as diverse as improvement of ergonomic workstations, stress reduction, injury prevention and improving job productivity. In addition, he is a certified chiropractic sports physician, and has worked extensively with professional athletes, including a position as former team physician for the Westchester Stallions of the United States Basketball League.

Dr. Axelrod consults with other chiropractors and is a partner with The Markson Connection, a chiropractic consulting organization.

Dr. Axelrod utilizes adjusting techniques such as Thompson, Sacral Occipital Technique, Gonstead, Activator and Diversified. His affiliations include the International Chiropractic Association and the New York Chiropractic Council. Through these affiliations, he is knowledgeable about the latest chiropractic research, insurance, political concerns, and success philosophy.
